Chapter One

I was running as fast as I could and when I herd a yelping sound. It looked to be a red wolf caught by a human trap. But it was yelling a screeming at me in a most unwolf like manner. Then i thought about it some more, come to think of it was a fox. They were known to be rude and very unkind. Then she said ''Are you even listening to me? Get me down for here!!!'' ''Why should I?'' I dared '' Well , because I know the forest like the back of my paw'' She said in the most rude way. Then I heard paw steps coming. '' Are you running from those guys'' she asked. '' Um..... yeah'' I said. '' well then let me down from here and I'll show you the way out ,okay?''.

''Come on over here'' kitfox said. Just as i walked into an alcove, i herd pawsteps, and then voices. ''Come on men, this way'' one voice said. Great runnningtail, the traker, was with them. For sure they'd find her. Then almost as if she had read my mind kitfox said '' Don't worry my fox sent should block out your wolf sent.'' Of course, that was the odd sent that had drifted into my nostrols when we came in. ''hey look here'' said a voice '' you think she could've run into here?'' ''well'' said runningtail ''go in and find out''. Oh no they were going to find me! ''roll in the red mud and cover your tail'' said kitfox. So I did as she told me, and not a moment to soon for just then strongnight rushed in. ''oh, sorry'' he said '' but by any chance have your sene a wolf about this high'' he held up his hand '' and that goes by the name of Prinsses Liz?'' '' no we haven't and sinse when was it polite to barge into one's home without a sertified reson or without at least knoking?'' I said. ''uh...well..I..um sorry, mam, but if you do by any chance see her please bring her to the tribe of the howling wind'' '' we will now go''. As he steped outside and the footsteps had grown softer kitfox turned to me and said '' you've got some explaining to do''
